Neponen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sanjuro circles away quickly and effectively.
Sanjuro misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sanjuro looks for the body kick but Neponen saw that one coming.
Neponen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Neponen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Neponen fails to land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Sanjuro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sanjuro throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Neponen throws a sloppy head kick and Sanjuro moves out of range easily.
Sanjuro paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Neponen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Tommi Neponen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Neponen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sanjuro counters with a shoot takedown. Neponen fights it but they end up in guard.
