Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Slither by Velvet Revolver . Mike Pain has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Brian Jones's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Pain! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Pain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pain shoots and misses and Jones counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Pain takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jones connects with a body shot. Pain fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away. Brian Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Pain. Pain ducks right into an uppercut from Jones. Pain shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Pain wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position. Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pain. Pain drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pain jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pain thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pain trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard. Pain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pain isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jones stacks Pain on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jones! Pain is not content to let Jones control the position. Pain gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Pain tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Jones has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pain is trying desperately to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jones throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Pain is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount. Pain is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action. Pain is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pain can't escape the position.
Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pain is looking to escape. Jones prevents Pain from getting the reversal. Jones controlling from the full mount. Pain is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pain regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pain moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Pain is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Pain is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Jones dominated that round. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A left lands for Jones. Pain fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a one-two to the body. Jones lands a body shot.
Pain shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jones is trying to defend but Pain finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Pain trying to mount his opponent but Jones defends it. Pain is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Jones still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Jones has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Pain manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Pain works his way to full guard. Good work. Pain tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pain is on top in guard.
Pain scoring with some ground and pound. Pain trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pain thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pain drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jones manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pain has Jones in his guard. Jones preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Pain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pain is looking to sweep but instead, Jones has passed into half guard.
Pain is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pain looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jones is defending well. Pain quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jones has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Pain celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mike Pain!
