Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Slaven Donnech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Das Puma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Das Puma is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donnech scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Puma looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Donnech connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Puma some visible discomfort.

Donnech jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Puma is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Puma and Donnech has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Puma thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Puma in particular looking to stall.
Puma tries to pass to full mount but Donnech defends it.
Puma wants to stand but Donnech has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Puma is tying to control. Donnech wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Puma takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Donnech shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Puma pinned against the cage. Puma gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Donnech has closed the distance and engaged Puma in a clinch.

Slaven Donnech overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Donnech is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Puma can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Donnech is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Donnech extends the arm and Puma is forced to tap!
