and Abdel Salam makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Abdel Salam ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Dos Santos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Abdel Salam's waist but Abdel Salam gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dos Santos off to one side.
Dos Santos dives in and scores a takedown into Abdel Salam's guard.
Dos Santos would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Dos Santos. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

That has opened up Junior Dos Santos's cut even more.
Abdel Salam fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Abdel Salam throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Dos Santos stumbling backwards into the cage! Dos Santos bounces back off the cage towards Abdel Salam, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Abdel Salam lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Abdel Salam celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
