Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tupac Amaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wha Rea Shin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tupac Amaru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wha Rea Shin!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amaru throws a combination that misses

and Shin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Shin trying to control the position from guard on top but Amaru is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Amaru keeping full guard, as Shin tries to pass.
Amaru looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shin is one step ahead there.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Wha Rea Shin wasn't active enough on the ground.
Amaru throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Shin counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Tupac Amaru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Amaru stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Amaru wants it to stay on the feet.
Amaru swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Shin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Amaru!
Amaru regains half guard.

Shin decides to stand up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Amaru misses with a double jab
and Shin counters with a nice low kick that buckles Amaru's knee momentarily.
Amaru closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Wha Rea Shin has been cut.
Amaru is breathing heavily.
Amaru throws a left and a right that both miss

and Shin moves into the clinch.
Shin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Amaru is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Amaru is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Shin manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Amaru could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Amaru decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Tupac Amaru is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Shin counters with a head kick.
Shin lands a jab to Amaru's midsection.
Amaru throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Shin counters with a body kick that stops Amaru in his tracks momentarily.
Nice takedown defense from Amaru. No joy for Shin on that attempt.
Tupac Amaru has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wha Rea Shin.

and Shin counters with a series of strikes. Amaru will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Shin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Shin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Amaru tries to break the clinch but Shin is controlling the position.

Shin manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Amaru wants to stand and escape but instead Shin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Shin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Shin stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Amaru falls off balance throwing a combination

so Shin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Amaru keeping moving, preventing Shin from controlling successfully.

Shin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Amaru defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shin.
Amaru fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Wha Rea Shin's cut.
That's time! Amaru's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Shin counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Shin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Shin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Wha Rea Shin has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Shin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Amaru paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Amaru swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Shin counters with a nice body shot.
Amaru misses with a combination

and Shin counters by clinching up.
Amaru is pressed up against the cage. Shin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Amaru down to the mat. Amaru avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Shin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Shin tries to pull guard but Amaru won't allow it.
Shin wants a takedown but no success here.
Tupac Amaru has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wha Rea Shin.
Amaru blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Amaru jumps guard and drags Shin to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shin wants to pass the guard but Amaru is keeping the position.
Shin is pushing down on Amaru's leg trying to pass to half guard. Amaru is fighting to maintain full guard but Shin has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Amaru regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Shin.

Shin wants to pass the guard but Amaru is keeping the position.
Shin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Shin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Amaru is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shin, into his guard.

Shin wants to sweep here but Amaru controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wha Rea Shin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Wha Rea Shin's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Amaru throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Shin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Shin tries to control but Amaru wriggling away.
Shin blocks Amaru's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Amaru is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Shin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Amaru wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Shin.
Amaru is trying desperately to improve position.
Shin content just to control the position here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Shin moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Amaru has worked his arm free - good work by Amaru!
Shin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amaru avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Shin.
Amaru is looking to regain half guard here but Shin keeps moving and retains side control.
Shin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amaru keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Shin is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Shin working the strikes but Amaru uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tupac Amaru showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Shin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
