The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hennessey moves into range and clinches up with Hands.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Hennessey.
Hands wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hennessey has him pressed against the cage.
Hands has had enough of the clinch but Hennessey keeps him there for the moment.
Hennessey lands a shot to the body.
Hennessey throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hands blocks it with crossed arms.
Hennessey tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Hennessey is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hands pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Hands tries to circle away but Hennessey has him pinned against the cage.
Hands unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Hands gets underhooks to prevent Hennessey's takedown attempt.
Hennessey misses with a knee to the head.
Hennessey is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hands gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Martell Hennessey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hands is trying to break the clinch but Hennessey is controlling him.
Hennessey tries a knee to the head but Hands blocks it.

enabling Hands to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Martell Hennessey has been cut.
Hands circles away from the clinch attempt

and Hands counters with a nice right hand that sends Hennessey toppling to the canvas! Hennessey scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Hands finish him?!

Hands looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hands misses with a wild combination.

Hands lands a big head kick that sends Hennessey tumbling to the mat! Hands takes a step backwards and waves Hennessey back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Hennessey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hands shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Hennessey is on queer street and Hands is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
