Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vadik Halikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kato Kabrinsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kabrinsky has chosen The Tea Party - Walking Wounded as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vadik Halikov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kato Kabrinsky! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Halikov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kabrinsky regains half guard. Halikov sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kabrinsky defending well though. Halikov thows a huge punch but Kabrinsky dodges it nicely.

Kabrinsky moves into full guard.
Halikov has gone for a leg lock! Kabrinsky slips out almost immediately though and dives into Halikov's guard. Kabrinsky content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kabrinsky passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kabrinsky trying to control the action but Halikov is working from the bottom. Kabrinsky is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Halikov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Halikov is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Halikov is not content to let Kabrinsky control the position. Kabrinsky looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halikov managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Kabrinsky.
Kabrinsky tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kabrinsky is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Kabrinsky advances to mount. Kabrinsky swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Halikov is now in Kabrinsky's guard. A big mistake from Kabrinsky there, giving up the dominant position! Halikov drops back looking for a leg! Kabrinsky is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kabrinsky manages to kick Halikov off! Halikov jumps back into Kabrinsky's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halikov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kabrinsky pulls Halikov in close to his closed guard and prevents Halikov from doing any damage or advancing position. Kabrinsky looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Halikov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Halikov being controlled here momentarily. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Halikov tries to free his leg and advance position but Kabrinsky is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Halikov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kabrinsky looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kabrinsky looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kabrinsky! Halikov is not content to let Kabrinsky control the position. Halikov is trying to improve his position. Halikov is being controlled here. Halikov manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kabrinsky thows a huge punch but Halikov dodges it nicely.
Kabrinsky throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Halikov looking for submissions from an awkward position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kato Kabrinsky dominated that round. That's time! Halikov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kabrinsky doesn't succeed with the takedown and Halikov counters with a shoot takedown. Kabrinsky fights it but they end up in guard. Halikov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kabrinsky is keeping the position for now. Halikov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Halikov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kabrinsky looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kabrinsky looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kabrinsky! Halikov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kabrinsky sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Halikov defending well though. Halikov is refusing to be controlled, as Kabrinsky sits in half guard. Kabrinsky frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Kabrinsky throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Halikov because Kabrinsky loaded up on that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Halikov working to try and regain half guard.
Kabrinsky controlling his opponent. Kabrinsky forces the positional change into back control. Kabrinsky has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Halikov! Can he survive? No! He's out! Kabrinsky gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
