The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva connects with a jab.
Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling White to score with a decent uppercut.
White swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Silva counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jab, jab by White - just one landing.
Silva takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
White misses with a straight left.
Silva avoids the head kick by White.
Silva throws a leg kick
and White cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Silva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
White is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silva in particular looking to stall.

White has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.

Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
