Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Pardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yourn Rotterdam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rotterdam comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Paul Pardo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Pardo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yourn Rotterdam! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pardo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Paul Pardo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pardo throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Rotterdam counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Pardo throws a body kick that misses. An inside leg kick lands from Pardo. Pardo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Pardo misses with an uppercut
and Rotterdam counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Rotterdam misses with a low kick.
Pardo just misses with a punch to the body.
Rotterdam tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pardo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rotterdam somewhat. Rotterdam throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pardo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Pardo throws a half hearted mid kick. Pardo lands a nice hook to Rotterdam's body. Rotterdam takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Pardo swings away with a body shot that misses
and Rotterdam counters with a nice uppercut. Pardo misses with a kick to the body.
Rotterdam rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pardo counters with a stiff right hand. Pardo looks to land a body kick but Rotterdam moved away. Pardo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rotterdam counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rotterdam takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A slow jab from Pardo misses its intended target. A looping hook to the body misses from Rotterdam. Pardo does a little dance to reset his feet. Pardo misses with a body punch
and Rotterdam counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rotterdam looks for a takedown but Pardo sprawls well. Pardo lands with a hook. Rotterdam tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Rotterdam keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pardo misses with a leg kick and Rotterdam counters with a nice body shot. Pardo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Pardo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Pardo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pardo throws a head kick that misses and Rotterdam counters with an outside leg kick.
Pardo throws a sloppy head kick and Rotterdam counters with a takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Pardo can't do much from the bottom here. Rotterdam wants to control but Pardo is keeping him busy. Rotterdam tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rotterdam has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rotterdam tries to score with some ground and pound. Pardo controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Rotterdam working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pardo is looking to reverse the position. Rotterdam is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pardo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rotterdam fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Pardo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rotterdam wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Rotterdam looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rotterdam thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yourn Rotterdam dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rotterdam takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Rotterdam has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Pardo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Rotterdam tries to clinch up and Pardo counters with a straight right hand. Pardo throws a low kick, looking for Rotterdam's leg but Rotterdam calmly moves out of range. Pardo swings for the body but Rotterdam moves out of range.
Pardo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pardo tries to land a body kick and Rotterdam counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Pardo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rotterdam. Rotterdam swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pardo thows a body shot but no joy. Pardo attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Pardo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Pardo misses with a hook
and Rotterdam counters with a stiff right hand. Pardo misses with a leg kick and Rotterdam counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pardo swings and misses with a shot to the body and Rotterdam counters with a stiff right hand.

Pardo lands a leg kick that knocks Rotterdam off balance momentarily. Pardo scores with a head kick.
It looks like Yourn Rotterdam has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pardo throws a head kick that misses. Paul Pardo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pardo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rotterdam checks the leg kick. Rotterdam fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pardo throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Rotterdam cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rotterdam bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rotterdam is looking to clinch.

and Pardo counters with a left to the body. Pardo takes a swing at Rotterdam's ribcage but misses. Rotterdam blocks a low kick nicely. Pardo misses with a shot to the body and Rotterdam counters with a single leg into guard. Pardo didn't expect that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rotterdam won't allow Pardo to sweep him here. Rotterdam working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pardo's head. Pardo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pardo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Rotterdam stopping the sweep attempt from Pardo. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rotterdam is fighting to break Pardo's control of his arms but Pardo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Pardo swings and misses with a shot to the body and Pardo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pardo is looking to wear down Rotterdam with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Pardo throws a sloppy head kick and Rotterdam counters with an inside leg kick. Paul Pardo is winning the standup battle so far. Pardo looks to score with a jab to the body but Rotterdam is just out of range. Pardo throws a right hand that misses
letting Rotterdam counter with a right hand. Rotterdam uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pardo.

and Pardo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rotterdam is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Pardo works Rotterdam's body with a nice hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pardo throws a leg kick and Pardo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. No luck for Rotterdam with that takedown attempt. Rotterdam takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pardo connects with a body shot. Pardo cracks Rotterdam with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. A lazy left from Pardo finds it's target. Pardo throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Rotterdam counters with a single leg into guard. Pardo didn't expect that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pardo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rotterdam manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pardo wants to control from the top but Rotterdam keeps moving. Rotterdam has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pardo stands up from Rotterdam's guard - Pardo perhaps looking for a knockout. Pardo throws a hook but Rotterdam blocks it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pardo misses with a body kick.
