Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pithe Canthropus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Canthropus has chosen Pizzaman - Trippin' On Sunshine as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Ripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Pithe Canthropus!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canthropus throws a sloppy head kick and Ripper moves out of range easily.
Ripper missing with a left hand there. Canthropus was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Canthropus bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ripper's head.
Ripper moves out of range of the body kick from Canthropus.
Ripper looks to land a right hand but Canthropus moved out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Canthropus. Ripper does a little dance to reset his feet.
Canthropus is looking to chop away at Ripper's legs.
Ripper cracks Canthropus with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ripper has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Canthropus to stand back up!
It looks like Pithe Canthropus has been cut.
Ripper cracks Canthropus with a right hand to the side of the head.
Canthropus is rocked!
Ripper misses the shot to the body.
Canthropus is still on wobbly legs! Can Ripper finish him?
Canthropus is looking to chop away at Ripper's legs.
Canthropus seems to have recovered his senses.
Pithe Canthropus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ripper chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Canthropus can pounce on him.
Ripper stuns Canthropus with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Canthropus shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Canthropus misses with a jab, cross combination.

Canthropus tries a head kick but it misses.
Canthropus misses with an uppercut
and Ripper counters with a right hand to the body.
Canthropus looks gassed!
Ripper throws a hook to the side of Canthropus's head but Canthropus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Canthropus scoring well with a low kick there.
Oooooh!!! Ripper has knocked Canthropus down with a huge combo! Ripper steps away and waves a wobbly Canthropus back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Canthropus throws a body kick that misses.
Ripper blocks a head kick by Canthropus.
Ripper pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ripper misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ripper avoids the head kick by Canthropus.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Canthropus - that will leave a mark!
Ripper throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ripper connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Canthropus's hands.
Ripper checks a low kick from Canthropus.
Canthropus tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Canthropus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Canthropus cracks the inside of Ripper's front leg.
Canthropus slips a straight right by Ripper.
Canthropus swings widly with a right hand
letting Ripper counter with a right hand.
Canthropus lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Canthropus darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ripper lands a slapping body shot.
Canthropus ducks under a wild hook from Ripper.
Ripper scores with a jab. Canthropus acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Canthropus rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ripper counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Canthropus! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Ripper!
