Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mighty Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone has chosen I Got A Feeling as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mighty Mike! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vic Stone! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone thows a body shot but no joy. Stone tries to close the distance and clinch but Mike swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mike misses with a takedown and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mike misses with a takedown attempt and Stone counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mike shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stone makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mighty Mike. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stone misses with a looping left. Mike gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stone counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Mike counters with a takedown into side control. Mike working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Mike wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stone, who protects the arm well. Stone is trying to get back to his feet. Stone is trying to control Mike's posture but Mike avoids it. Stone stops Mike from passing to mount. Mike goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Stone rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mike's guard! Nice work there by Stone!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mike working for a triangle but Stone defends it easily.
Mike could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Stone drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mike dives on top into guard. Mike sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stone's guard. Stone is looking for a sweep. Mike is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Stone is looking to control Mike's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stone avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mike is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Stone! Mike moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Stone has worked his arm free - good work by Stone!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mike tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mike tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mike has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mike tries for a kimura but Stone is defending well. Stone manages to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mike wants to advance to full mount but Stone doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Mike pushes down on Stone's leg and manages to get into half guard. Mike trying to advance position but Stone counters by regaining guard. Mike preventing the sweep. Stone kicks Mike off and gets to his feet. Mike shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stone counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mike thinking. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mike with a poor takedown and Stone counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mighty Mike will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mike nods at Stone to acknowledge the strikes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mighty Mike. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stone takes a swing at Mike's ribcage but misses. Mike has his takedown stuffed and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Vic Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mike fails with the takedown and Stone counters with a lovely straight right hand! Stone lands with a shot to the body. Stone lands a glancing blow to the side of Mike's head. Mike with a poor takedown and Stone counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mike thinking. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stone lands with an uppercut that bounces Mike off the cage and back into rage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mike with a poor takedown and Stone counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mike thinking. Mike on the wrong end of a nice jab. Mike avoids the body shot from Stone.
Mike uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stone. Stone forces Mike back against the cage and clinches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mike tries for a takedown but Stone circles away easily and Stone counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone jabs Mike right on the nose. Mike blinks but takes it well. Stone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stone fails to land with a series of punches.
Stone looks to score with a jab to the body but Mike is just out of range. Stone tries to clinch but Mike moves out of range. Stone pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mike back to the cage. Stone follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Stone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vic Stone seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Stone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stone darts in trying to clinch and Mike counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mike has gone for a leg lock! Stone slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mike's guard. Stone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mike swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stone is looking to stand up but Mike won't let him. Mike is looking for a triangle but Stone pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vic Stone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Mike swats away the attempt to clinch by Stone. Mike keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mike is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stone defends it well. Mike is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mike seems to be working for a kimura but Stone defends the submission attempt. Mike wants to work for an arm triangle but Stone is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mike eventually gives up the hold. Stone won't allow Mike to pass to mount. Mike in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Stone tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mike!
