The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mac Arthur gets in close and instigates a clinch. Punga tries for a takedown but Mac Arthur manages to get underhooks.
Punga really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mac Arthur gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Punga regains guard.
Mac Arthur got a little sloppy there for a moment and Punga has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mac Arthur has managed to get both his arms back between Punga's legs - danger averted. Mac Arthur cracks Punga with a solid left hand. Mac Arthur gets to his feet - Punga follows without any prompting. Mac Arthur shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Punga is trying to get back to full guard. Punga wants to control but Mac Arthur is keeping busy and won't allow it. Punga is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mac Arthur is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Punga on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Punga tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mac Arthur thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Punga's head. Mac Arthur tries to pass to full mount but Punga defends it. Mac Arthur not landing any meaningful shots this time. Punga slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Punga looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Punga is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mac Arthur defends well. Punga is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mac Arthur is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Punga is controlling him. Mac Arthur has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Punga can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mac Arthur looks gassed! Punga looking to pass the guard. Punga drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mac Arthur looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mac Arthur looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mac Arthur!

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Punga is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mac Arthur connects with a decent elbow. Punga tries to improve position but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Punga sneaks back into half guard. Punga punching from the bottom.

Douglas Mac Arthur has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Mac Arthur swats away the attempt to clinch by Punga.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mac Arthur tries to clinch up but Punga circles away and keeps his distance. Punga drives through with a takedown into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Punga trying to control but Mac Arthur is working from the bottom. Punga is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mac Arthur manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Punga is looking to reverse the position. Mac Arthur cracks Punga with a big right hand but Punga just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Punga is looking for a sweep. Punga is working hard here to advance position. Mac Arthur is staying tight to Punga's torso, preventing him from escaping. Mac Arthur is looking to take a break and control but Punga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Douglas Mac Arthur hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Punga throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Punga seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Mac Arthur has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Mac Arthur is trying to get an arm triangle but Punga is defending well. Punga tries to get back to half guard but can't. Punga regains half guard. Punga is looking for a sweep. Mac Arthur is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Punga is not content to let Mac Arthur control the position. Mac Arthur lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Douglas Mac Arthur will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Mac Arthur shoots in and bounces Punga off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Punga is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mac Arthur rolls with it to try and escape but Punga cranks on the arm and Mac Arthur is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
