The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gutkus shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chapdelaine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gutkus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gutkus's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Chapdelaine is looking for a triangle but Gutkus pushes his legs off easily.
Gutkus seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gutkus is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cadwallader Gutkus hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
