Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mitch Brewer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Paxio! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paxio shoots in but Brewer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Paxio fails with a takedown attempt. Paxio takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Paxio tries to clinch up but Brewer circles away and keeps his distance. Brewer scores with a head kick.
Paxio shoots in and gets a takedown into Brewer's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Paxio thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Brewer wants to sweep here but Paxio controlling him for the moment. Paxio trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Paxio slips nicely into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Paxio seems to be working for a kimura but Brewer defends the submission attempt. Brewer tries to roll over but Paxio keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paxio is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brewer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Paxio. Brewer is looking for a sweep. Paxio is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Paxio is trying to work for a kimura but Brewer is defending well.
Paxio seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Brewer is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
