Slavey has chosen I Predict A Riot as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Maia gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Slavey.
Maia throws a combination that misses
letting Slavey counter with a right hand.
No luck for Maia with that takedown attempt.
Maia misses with a takedown attempt
and Slavey counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Maia misses with a head kick.
Slavey lands a left and a right that send Maia crashing to the mat, dazed. Slavey thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Maia is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maia is aggressively charging in as Slavey backs up avoiding any damage. Slavey tosses out a jab and Maia runs right into it face first! Maia is out cold! Slavey dropped down on all fours and is barking in Maia's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pointon Slavey!
