Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathaniel Reigle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikio Okita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reigle comes to the cage accompanied by So Common So Cheap. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathaniel Reigle! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikio Okita! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reigle tries to clinch up. Reigle misses with a left hand and Okita makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Okita checks the leg kick nicely there.
Reigle gets caught flat footed, as Okita shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Okita is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Reigle is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Reigle has escaped and now he's on top! Reigle wants to stand but Okita has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Okita manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reigle manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okita trying to control the position from guard on top but Reigle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Okita wants to pass the guard but Reigle is keeping the position. Okita in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Reigle is adopting a defensive guard. Okita trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Nathaniel Reigle just wasn't active enough. A looping hook to the body misses from Okita. Reigle does a little dance to reset his feet. Reigle misses with a looping left. Okita throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Reigle to counter with a crisp jab. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Okita walks into a stiff left hand from Reigle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okita misses with a wild body shot. Okita swings for the body but Reigle moves out of range.
Okita misses with an uppercut. Reigle saw that one coming. Reigle throws a wild body kick that Okita sees coming a mile off. Okita misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Okita on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Reigle throws a nice outside leg kick. Okita bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Okita misses with a takedown attempt and Reigle counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Okita swings widly with a right hand
and Reigle counters with a right hand to the body. Okita shoots in looking for a takedown but Reigle manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Okita's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nathaniel Reigle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikio Okita. A chopping leg kick lands by Reigle. Reigle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Okita ducks under a wild hook from Reigle. Okita gets a takedown into half guard. Okita is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reigle doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Okita. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nathaniel Reigle will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Reigle lands a jab to Okita's midsection. Reigle throws a body punch but Okita moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reigle feints and then cracks Okita's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Okita down. Okita scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Reigle doesn't seem bothered though. Okita will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okita avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Okita. Reigle does a little dance to reset his feet. Okita has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Reigle. Nice takedown defense from Reigle. No joy for Okita on that attempt. Reigle chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Reigle changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Reigle misses with a body shot.

Reigle misses with a right hand and Okita counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's two minutes gone in the round. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Okita crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Reigle - the referee stops the clock and Okita gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Reigle. Okita manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Okita misses with a right hand and Reigle counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Reigle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Okita.
Reigle throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Reigle throws an off balance right hand
and Okita counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Reigle! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Okita goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Reigle turns into him and now he's in Okita's guard.
Reigle would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okita keeping moving, preventing Reigle from controlling successfully. Reigle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Okita on the ground. Okita is trying to control the position but Reigle postures up. Okita is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Reigle trying to control the position from guard on top but Okita is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Nathaniel Reigle has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Reigle. Okita does a little dance to reset his feet. Okita scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Okita misses with the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reigle manages to get back to half guard. Reigle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Reigle. Okita passes easily into side control. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Nathaniel Reigle will probably get the nod. That's time! Reigle's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Okita doesn't succeed with the takedown and Reigle makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Reigle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Okita. Reigle lunges at Okita with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Okita's hand. Reigle clinches up against the cage. Reigle makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Okita blocks an uppercut.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Reigle. A head punch blocked on the inside by Okita. Okita tries to circle away but Reigle has him pinned against the cage. Reigle working some nice short punches in the clinch. Reigle lands a body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reigle lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Reigle pushes Okita back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Reigle. Reigle throws a punch but it's blocked by Okita. Okita blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Reigle lands a nice shot to the body. Okita takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Okita goes for a takedown attempt but Reigle pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nathaniel Reigle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikio Okita. Reigle lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Reigle tries to bum rush Okita with a series of wild strikes but Okita uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Reigle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Reigle throws a head kick but Okita moves out of range.

and Okita decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reigle's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reigle is controlling Okita's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reigle keeping full guard, as Okita tries to pass. Reigle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Okita is one step ahead there. Reigle is trying to keep Okita in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nathaniel Reigle. Okita misses with a lunging right hand
and Reigle counters with a nice kick to the body. Reigle avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Okita takes a jab right on the kisser.
Reigle misses with a straight right. Reigle scores with a three punch combo!

and Okita counters with a right hand to the body. Reigle takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathaniel Reigle clearly takes that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Okita checks a low kick from Reigle. Okita wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Okita shoots and misses and Reigle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The fighters circling - Okita throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Reigle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Okita was well out of range. Poor timing from Reigle. Okita bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Okita swings and misses with a shot to the body and Reigle counters with a lovely shot to the body. Okita is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Reigle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okita misses with a hook. Reigle misses with a telegraphed body shot
so Okita counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Okita trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Okita sitting in guard, not really doing much. Reigle wants to stand up but Okita is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reigle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Reigle seems keen to control Okita's posture. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Okita steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reigle. Reigle connects with an inside leg kick. Reigle throws a poor cross that misses
and Okita counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Reigle keeping moving, preventing Okita from controlling successfully. Okita stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reigle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Okita wants to control from the top but Reigle keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikio Okita dominated that fourth round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Okita looks to throw the jab but Reigle is out of range. Reigle getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Reigle keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Okita's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Okita misses with a body punch
letting Reigle counter with a right hand. Reigle cracks Okita with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Okita moves out of range as Reigle strikes. Mikio Okita has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Reigle scores with a jab. Okita acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Reigle misses with a straight left. Okita closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Reigle quickly recovers to half guard. Mikio Okita has got the better of the ground game so far. Okita is working for a submission of some sort.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Reigle looks like he's trying to stand up.
Okita passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Reigle! Okita throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Reigle keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Okita is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Reigle has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Reigle! Nathaniel Reigle is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Okita trying to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Nathaniel Reigle showed his dominance in that final round. I think Reigle has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
