Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Cheese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mendez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Trap Door. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Tiago Mendez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Cheese! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cheese, pushing him back against the cage. Mendez looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Mendez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mendez throws a body punch but Cheese moves out of range. Mendez rushes Cheese and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Mendez prevents a body shot from Cheese. Cheese misses with a hook to the ribs.
Cheese is looking to break free of the clinch but Mendez has double underhooks. Cheese working aggressively here.
Mendez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cheese is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Cheese stalling against the cage.
Mendez is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Cheese with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Mendez blocks a body shot from Cheese. Mendez turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mendez manages to end up in side control. Mendez has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Cheese! Cheese tries to hold on but Mendez postures up. Mendez pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mendez avoids the attempt from Cheese to control. Cheese is looking to get to half guard. Mendez has hold of Cheese's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cheese manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Cheese taking shots to the head. Mendez looking to finish Cheese with some ground and pound. This is bad for Cheese! Cheese taking shots to the head. Mendez looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mendez won't let Cheese get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cheese tries to reverse the position but Mendez maintains control. Mendez is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cheese is surviving well by controlling Mendez's body position as best he can. Mendez lands a nice shot to the head. Mendez looking to control and managing it successfully. Mendez trying to control but he's not successful this time. Cheese tries to hold on but Mendez postures up. Mendez dominating with strikes here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mendez scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Cheese?
Mendez trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mendez punishing his opponent with strikes. Mendez lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Cheese hang on? Mendez lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Mendez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mendez putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Cheese tries to reverse the position but Mendez maintains control. Cheese really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mendez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mendez takes Cheese's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Cheese is in trouble. Cheese just trying to survive but Mendez is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Cheese looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mendez working for a choke but Cheese reverses nicely into Mendez 's guard. Mendez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mendez is looking to sinch up a triangle. Cheese throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mendez's body to avoid the submission. Mendez has instead reached around Cheese's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mendez arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
