The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez slips under a jab from Nogueira.
Perez works over Nogueira's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira has been cut.

and Perez counters with a low kick, right behind Nogueira 's knee.

That has opened up Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira's cut even more.
Perez ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Perez clinches.
Perez has Nogueira pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. Nogueira is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Perez - that's hurt Nogueira badly! Oh, another knee lands and Nogueira is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Nogueira doesn't seem to be complaining.
