With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hurley Reyes!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Reyes counters with a nice leg kick.

It looks like Randy Jones has been cut.

and Reyes holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hurley Reyes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Reyes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Reyes throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jones has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Reyes.

and Reyes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Reyes.

Reyes lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Reyes manages to break the clinch.
Reyes lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jones's sensitive parts.
Jones throws a head kick that misses
and Reyes counters with a straight right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reyes missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Jones. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Reyes takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Jones is working for takedown but Reyes is calmly controlling the position for now.
Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Reyes fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Reyes lands an elbow inside that Jones shrugs off.


Jeez, Randy Jones's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Reyes in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
