Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Craig Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturo Cano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cano's choice of entrance music: Disembodied. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arturo Cano!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brophy looks to land a left hand but Cano moved out of range nicely.
Brophy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cano sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cano looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Cano trying to control the action but Brophy is working from the bottom.
Brophy tries to roll over but Cano keeps him under control.
Cano tries to pass to full mount but Brophy defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cano in particular looking to stall.

Cano might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brophy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's time! Brophy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Brophy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cano can pounce on him.

Cano shoots in for a takedown but Brophy shows good takedown defense.
Cano tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Brophy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cano.
Craig Brophy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arturo Cano.
Donk. Brophy catches Cano right on the button with a cross.
Brophy throws a lazy uppercut
and Cano counters with a single leg into guard. Brophy didn't expect that.

Cano throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brophy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Brophy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brophy has managed to get both his arms back between Cano's legs - danger averted.

Arturo Cano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
