Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Goldie Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernie Whit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Goldie Wilson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ernie Whit! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whit throws a poor cross that misses
and Wilson counters with a one-two to the body. Whit tries to clinch but Wilson moves out of range. Whit is looking to clinch but Wilson is avoiding it.
Wilson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Whit instigates a clinch. Whit lands a nice shot to the body. Whit has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wilson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. A quick uppercut on the inside from Whit. Whit has picked Wilson up - he's going for a ride! Whit dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Wilson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Whit drops an elbow to the side of Wilson's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Whit prevents Wilson from standing back up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Whit connects with a nice short shot to Wilson's temple. Whit scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Wilson wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whit with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilson wants to get back to his feet.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Whit controlling the action here.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Ernie Whit hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Wilson gets in close and instigates a clinch. A hook to the body from Whit.
Wilson tries to break free but Whit pushes him back against the cage. Whit digs a right hand into Wilson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Wilson's gas tank. Good body shot from Whit.
Wilson is breathing heavily. Nice body punch from Whit. A body shot lands from Whit.
Wilson working hard to break the clinch. Whit cracks Wilson with a nice body shot. Wilson tries to break free but Whit pushes him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whit makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Whit keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wilson's efforts to push away. A hook to the body from Whit.
Wilson is pressed up against the cage. Whit has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wilson down to the mat. Wilson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Whit closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wilson's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Whit is stalling in the full guard. Wilson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. It looks like Whit might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Whit postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Wilson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Whit. Whit is standing up over Wilson. Wilson looks to escape but Whit dives into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Wilson wants to get back to his feet but Whit drags him back down. Wilson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Whit works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Wilson throws Whit to one side and escapes! Whit shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wilson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Whit lands a nice forearm strike. Whit lands some shots froms side control. Wilson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Whit connects with a decent elbow. Whit scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Wilson to see if he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Whit happy to just control the position for now. Whit cracks Wilson with a big right hand but Wilson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whit controls the position from side control. Wilson is not content to let Whit control the position. Wilson wants to get back to his feet. Wilson taking punishment in the form of punches.
Whit prevents Wilson from escaping the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Whit ducks under a wild hook from Wilson. Wilson throws a head kick that misses. Whit tries to clinch up but Wilson circles away and keeps his distance. Whit is looking to clinch. Ernie Whit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Whit rushes Wilson and presses him up against the cage. Whit can't get the takedown.
Still in the clinch, Whit scores with a nice short uppercut. Whit has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Wilson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Wilson holding both Whit 's hands and preventing any damage. Wilson is trapped and Whit is scoring with shots to the head and body. Wilson is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Can Wilson hold on?! Whit is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Wilson is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whit drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wilson is looking to stand up but Whit isn't so interested in that idea. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Whit keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wilson's head. Whit postures up in Wilson's guard and throws a big left but Wilson blocks it. Whit lands a couple of elbows. Whit is standing up over Wilson. Wilson looks to escape but Whit dives into side control.
Wilson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Whit cracks Wilson with a big elbow. Whit works to advance to full mount. Wilson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Wilson really wants to buck Whit off and get back to his feet. The referee warns Wilson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whit lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Wilson tries to buck Whit off but he can't manage it. Wilson somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Whit closes the distance and clinches up with Wilson, looking for a takedown. Whit pushes Wilson against the cage but Wilson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Some wild striking there from Wilson.
Whit fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wilson to the ground. Whit is now in Wilson's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Whit slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Whit landing with the ground and pound. Whit controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Whit dives into side control.
Whit taking a breather here. Whit is looking to take a break and control but Wilson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Goldie Wilson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wilson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Whit controlling from the full mount. Whit landing strikes, looking to finish! This has been an exciting period of action! Wilson is bucking up trying to escape but Whit cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Wilson is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
