Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Krenik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Aleksander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krenik comes into the arena with Pain blaring out of the sound system. Aleksander has chosen Backbone - Gojira as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vladimir Krenik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Aleksander! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krenik fails with the takedown. Aleksander connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A telegraphed right hand from Aleksander misses the target. Krenik shoots in looking for a takedown. Aleksander tries to sprawl out of it but Krenik keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Aleksander manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Aleksander misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Aleksander throws a left and a right that both miss
and Krenik counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Krenik tries to pass to full mount but Aleksander defends it. Krenik passes to full mount! Aleksander is desperately trying to improve his position but Krenik has a good base and remains in mount. Aleksander wants to control but Krenik is having none of it. Krenik is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Aleksander to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Aleksander shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krenik with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Krenik looking to secure an arm triangle but Aleksander defends it well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aleksander can do anything to dispel that myth. Krenik is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Aleksander has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Aleksander tries to reverse the position but Krenik maintains control. Krenik has control of Aleksander's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Aleksander regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Aleksander is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krenik swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Aleksander is now in Krenik's guard. A big mistake from Krenik there, giving up the dominant position! Aleksander really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krenik. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Aleksander in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Aleksander is looking to work some ground and pound but Krenik has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aleksander throwing strikes but missing. Aleksander thows a big elbow that misses. Aleksander postures up in Krenik's guard and throws a big left but Krenik blocks it. Aleksander working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Krenik is breathing heavily. Krenik looking for a guillotine here but Aleksander defends easily.
Aleksander throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Krenik works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Aleksander thows a big elbow that misses. Aleksander wants to pass the guard but Krenik is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Aleksander in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Aleksander throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Krenik works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Aleksander throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Aleksander throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Aleksander throws a strike but Krenik rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Aleksander thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Aleksander is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Krenik defends well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Aleksander is controlling Krenik's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladimir Krenik dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Aleksander fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Krenik manages to avoid it. Nice cross by Aleksander. Aleksander rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Krenik moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Krenik loads up on a big right hand but Aleksander slips the punch. Aleksander lands a big right hand that sends Krenik crashing to the mat! Aleksander stays standing though and waves Krenik back to his feet!
Krenik is rocked! Krenik leaves his chin hanging out and Aleksander seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Krenik crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ivan Aleksander!
