Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Fairtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Chimpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chimpo has chosen On The Darkside as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Fairtex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Chimpo!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chimpo throws a leg kick that is checked
and Fairtex counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Fairtex throws a solid leg kick but Chimpo takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Fairtex.
Fairtex throws the left hand but Chimpo avoids the punch easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fairtex.
Chimpo throws a lazy uppercut
and Fairtex counters with a thumping low kick.
A shot to the body from Chimpo misses
and Fairtex moves into the clinch.
Fairtex is trying to trip Chimpo. He has hold of a leg but Chimpo is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Fairtex persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Fairtex chips away with some ground and pound.
Chimpo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chimpo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fairtex is one step ahead there.
Fairtex is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Fairtex slips nicely into half guard.
Chimpo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fairtex's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fairtex's back!
Fairtex wriggles onto his back under a barage of strikes.
Fairtex is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Fairtex is desperately trying to improve his position but Chimpo has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chimpo tries to control but Fairtex wriggling away.
Fairtex tries to lock up and control but Chimpo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chimpo is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Chimpo extends the arm and Fairtex is forced to tap!
