Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Cesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rio Lord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cesar comes to the cage accompanied by The Roller. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Cesar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rio Lord! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lord shoots in and bounces Cesar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Lord must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cesar wants to get back to his feet but Lord is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cesar wants to sweep but no luck. Cesar controlling the position. Lord sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lord gets the takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lord trying to control the position but Cesar is working away. Cesar wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Lord tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Lord in the domination position with Cesar hanging on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lord throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Cesar is trying to get back to half guard. Cesar wants to control but Lord postures up. Lord wants to stand but Cesar is controlling his arm. Cesar wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lord slows the pace down. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lord shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cesar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Cesar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cesar tries to get out of the position. Lord won't allow Cesar to get back to his feet. Cesar managing to control the position. Lord looking to sit in guard and control but Cesar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cesar prevents Lord from getting back to his feet. Lord working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cesar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cesar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lord is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rio Lord dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cesar gets a double leg takedown into Lord's guard. Lord is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Lord is looking for a triangle here but Cesar uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Lord manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cesar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Lord is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cesar blocks the strikes from Lord.
Lord kicks off Cesar and gets to his feet. Cesar shoots in and bounces Lord off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Cesar is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lord can't keep his opponent in guard - Cesar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Still in half guard, Cesar seems content to control. Cesar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lord is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lord is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cesar content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cesar with a couple of short strikes. Cesar sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cesar prevents Lord from getting the reversal. Roberto Cesar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lord wants to hold on but Cesar pushes him away. Cesar controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roberto Cesar dominated that second round. That's time! Cesar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Cesar throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lord tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cesar is in Lord's guard. Lord working a defensive guard here.
Lord wants to hit a switch here but Cesar passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lord there! Cesar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cesar avoids the attempt from Lord to control. Lord is in a horrible position here. Cesar smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cesar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Lord working to try and regain half guard.

Cesar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Cesar avoids the attempt from Lord to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cesar has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lord's face.
Lord is looking to improve his position but Cesar isn't that keen on the idea. Cesar content just to control the position here.
And that's the end of the fight! Roberto Cesar showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cesar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
