Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Layon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clams Casino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clams Casino has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Layon looks for a takedown but Casino sprawls well.
Casino tries a head kick but it misses.
Layon wants to clinch but Casino slips to the side
and Casino counters with a two punch combo.
Layon misses with a leg kick.
Casino chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Casino throws a leg kick which misses Layon's front leg but catches the back leg as Layon tries to avoid it.

Layon throws a series of punches but Casino moves out of range.

and Layon holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Casino keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Layon's efforts to push away.

Casino will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Layon up against the cage.

Casino breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Casino misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Casino lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Casino lands with an uppercut that bounces Layon off the cage and back into rage.

and Casino counters with a three punch combo that has Layon backing up. Layon nods at Casino to acknowledge the strikes.

Layon is rocked!
Layon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Casino moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Layon throws a series of punches but Casino moves out of range.

Casino throws a left that rocks Layon and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Casino dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Layon regain composure!
Oh Layon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Casino tries to advance to mount but can't.

Casino throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Layon seems to have got his legs back now.

Casino thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Layon is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Casino is working for a kimura but Layon is defending it quite comfortably.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Layon is looking to improve his position.
Layon pushes Casino off looking to stand but Casino dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Casino looks to land a strike but Layon avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Casino throws a right hand that Layon ducks under and follows up with a left that Layon also avoids with ease.
Good leg kick by Casino there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Casino counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Casino lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Layon backs up against the cage.
Casino throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Casino lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

and Casino counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Casino fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Layon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Casino bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Layon's head backwards.

Casino sizes up Layon with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Casino throws a shot to the body.
Layon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

A jab-cross combination lands for Casino and sends Layon crashing to the mat! Casino follows him down to the mat - Layon regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Casino takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Layon lands a head kick. Casino smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Casino lands with a big left! Layon is wobbled badly! Casino comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Layon to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
