The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webster throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Webster pushes Nolin up against the cage in a clinch.
Nolin wants the takedown. Webster is fighting it off but Nolin persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Webster's guard against the cage.
Nolin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Webster works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nolin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Webster is on top in guard.
Nolin controls Webster momentarily but Webster frees himself.
Webster pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nolin is keeping the position for now.

Nolin keeping moving, preventing Webster from controlling successfully.
Webster content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Webster postures up in Nolin's guard and throws a big left but Nolin blocks it.
Nolin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Webster puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Webster is looking for a kimura but Nolin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Webster to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nolin is trying to control but Webster manages to pass to mount!
A nice elbow there by Webster.
Webster looking to secure an arm triangle but Nolin defends it well.
Webster goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Nolin is on top in guard.
Webster escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nolin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Webster bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nolin's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Webster trying to control the position from guard on top but Nolin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Webster drops back looking for a leg! Nolin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nolin manages to kick Webster off! Webster jumps back into Nolin's guard.

Webster has gone for a leg lock! Nolin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Webster's guard.
Nolin passes Webster's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Webster is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nolin scores with a couple of nice shots.
Webster regains full guard. Nicely done.

Nolin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Webster is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nolin, into his guard.

Webster drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Webster jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Webster wants to control from the top but Nolin keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Webster in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ness Webster dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Webster feints and as Nolin raises his hands in defense, Webster changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nolin is pulling down on Webster's head to control his posture.

Webster drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nolin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nolin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nolin!
Webster gets back to half guard.

Webster works his way to full guard. Good work.
Webster is looking for a triangle but Nolin pushes his legs off easily.
Nolin advances to half guard.
Nolin is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Webster still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Webster has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Nolin is breathing heavily.
Webster has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Webster has hold of Nolin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nolin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Webster is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nolin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Ness Webster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nolin really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Webster jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Nolin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Nolin and Webster has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Webster has hold of Nolin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Nolin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Webster cranks the arm and Nolin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Nolin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
