Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karsten Feigel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Drewnski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drewnski has chosen MOSKAU-RAMMSTEIN as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karsten Feigel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Drewnski!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drewnski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Drewnski looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Feigel!
Feigel is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Drewnski pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Feigel is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Drewnski raining down hammerfists from mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Drewnski fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
You get the feeling that Feigel really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Feigel takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Feigel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Feigel's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Feigel takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Drewnski goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Feigel turns into him and now he's in Drewnski's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Drewnski can do anything to dispel that myth.
Drewnski wants to stand but Feigel is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Feigel stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Drewnski closes this distance looking for a takedown but Feigel circles away.
Feigel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Drewnski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Drewnski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Feigel defends it nicely.
Karsten Feigel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Drewnski.
Feigel wants to clinch.
Drewnski misses with a takedown attempt - Feigel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Drewnski shoots in but no luck this time.
Karsten Feigel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Feigel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Drewnski paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Feigel looks to score with a jab to the body but Drewnski is just out of range.
Feigel slaps away a takedown attempt from Drewnski, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Drewnski keeps the fight on the outside.
Feigel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Drewnski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Feigel but Feigel pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Feigel doesn't manage to clinch there - Drewnski circles away.
Drewnski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Feigel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Drewnski somewhat.
Feigel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Drewnski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Feigel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Drewnski swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Feigel tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Feigel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Feigel wants to clinch up but Drewnski keeps it at a distance.

Drewnski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Feigel napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Drewnski in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Feigel wants to get back to his feet but Drewnski drags him back down.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Drewnski scores with punches from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ivan Drewnski will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Drewnski checks the leg kick.
Feigel fails to land with a series of punches.
Feigel tries to clinch but Drewnski is having none of it.
Drewnski shoots in looking for a takedown but Feigel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Drewnski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Drewnski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Feigel defends it nicely.
Feigel tries to clinch up.
Feigel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Drewnski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fight stays on the outside here - Feigel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A combination from Feigel does no damage.

and Drewnski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Feigel's guard now.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Feigel has his feet on Drewnski's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Drewnski.

Drewnski shoots for a double leg takedown but Feigel sprawls well. He's pushed Drewnski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Drewnski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Feigel is fending him off so far but Drewnski persists. Nope, Feigel circles away and we're back to standing.
Drewnski takes a head kick and keeps coming.
No joy there for Feigel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Drewnski steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Feigel. That one must have hurt.
Feigel closes the distance but Drewnski moves to the side

so Drewnski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Feigel kicks Drewnski off and gets to his feet.
Feigel doesn't manage to clinch there - Drewnski circles away.

so Drewnski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Drewnski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Drewnski stops Feigel from standing up.
Feigel preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Feigel wants to stand up but Drewnski is controlling him.
Drewnski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ivan Drewnski.

Feigel misses with a few strikes there.

Karsten Feigel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Drewnski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Feigel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Drewnski somewhat.
Feigel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Drewnski.
Feigel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Drewnski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Feigel is looking to stand up but Drewnski isn't so interested in that idea.

Ivan Drewnski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Drewnski fails with a takedown attempt.

Feigel rushes Drewnski and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Feigel landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Feigel is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Drewnski is defending well for now.
Feigel misses with an elbow over the top.
Feigel is looking to control Drewnski's arms but Drewnski gets an underhook and turns him. Now Feigel has his back to the cage.
Feigel seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Drewnski is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.
Feigel throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Feigel misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Drewnski.

Feigel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Drewnski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Feigel but Feigel pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Feigel wants to clinch up but Drewnski keeps it at a distance.
Feigel throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Feigel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Drewnski.

Feigel rushes Drewnski and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Feigel pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Feigel throws an elbow but misses.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Feigel just misses with a elbow thrown towards Drewnski's brow.

Feigel throws a knee to the head but misses.
Feigel tries to land a knee to the head but Drewnski blocks with his arms.

Drewnski has Feigel pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Drewnski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Feigel tumbling to the mat - Drewnski dives into Feigel's guard.

Feigel wants to stand and escape but Drewnski is having none of it.
Drewnski slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Feigel kicks Drewnski off and gets to his feet.

Drewnski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Feigel as he jumps to the side.
Drewnski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Feigel tries to avoid it but Drewnski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Feigel to the ground. Feigel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Feigel is looking to clinch.
Karsten Feigel is winning the standup battle so far.
Drewnski circles away from the clinch attempt.

Drewnski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Drewnski lands in his opponent's guard.
Drewnski scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Karsten Feigel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Drewnski missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Feigel is looking to stand up but Drewnski isn't so interested in that idea.

Feigel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Drewnski defends well.
Drewnski chips away with some ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Feigel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Drewnski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Karsten Feigel.
I think Drewnski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
