Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dj Nelson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fisher shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nelson is trying to defend but Fisher finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Nelson regains full guard. Nicely done.
Nelson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fisher!
Fisher is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Nelson looking to control but Fisher is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Nelson tries to pull guard but Fisher holds him up against the cage and eventually Nelson drops back down to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Nelson is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Nelson pulls guard.
Fisher working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fisher throws a strike but Nelson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Nelson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fisher manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nelson has Fisher in his guard.

Fisher gets to his feet. Nelson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Dj Nelson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Fisher fails to land with a series of punches.
A head kick misses from Fisher.
Fisher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nelson tries to avoid it but Fisher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nelson to the ground. Nelson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fisher takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fisher defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nelson.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dj Nelson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
