2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dutch Matrix! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Matrix. Davis takes a body punch but keeps moving. Davis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Matrix circles away. Davis throws an overhand right that lands on Matrix's shoulder, as Matrix tries to avoid the shot. Davis throws the left hand but Matrix avoids the punch easily. The fighters circling - Davis throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Davis throws a body punch but Matrix moves out of range. Jason Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Matrix feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Daviss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Matrix misses with a two punch combination.
Nice defenses there by Matrix. Davis shoots and misses and Matrix counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Jason Davis has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Davis throws a right hand that misses
letting Matrix counter with a right hand. Davis slips a jab from Matrix.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis shoots for a double leg takedown but Matrix sprawls well. He's pushed Davis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Matrix throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Matrix moves out of range as Davis strikes. Matrix takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Davis. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Davis misses with a left hand and Matrix counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A punch lands to the side of Matrix 's head but he takes it in his stride. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Davis with a lazy takedown attempt letting Matrix counter with a right hand.
Jason Davis's cut is getting worse. Dutch Matrix is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Davis is breathing heavily. Davis misses with an uppercut
and Matrix makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Matrix tries to bum rush Davis with a series of wild strikes but Davis uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Davis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Davis rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Matrix counters with a straight right hand.
Davis is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matrix cracks Davis on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Davis falls backwards against the cage. Matrix follows up with more strikes that drop Davis to his knees. Matrix keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Davis! This one is all over!
