Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoki Funkyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Funkyama has chosen as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Aoki Funkyama is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funkyama misses with a hook.
Baker throws a right hand that misses
and Funkyama counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Funkyama fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Baker manages to avoid it.
Baker punishes Funkyama's body with a nice straight punch.
Baker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Funkyama tries to close the distance and clinch but Baker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Baker lunges at Funkyama with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Funkyama's hand.

Funkyama shoots in looking for a takedown but Baker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Funkyama's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Funkyama seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Baker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
