Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Curtis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Great Finisher!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finisher throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Curtis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Finisher looks gassed!
Curtis misses with the combination.

Curtis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Finisher was covering up waiting for the punch and Curtis finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Curtis looking to pass the guard.
Curtis is looking to stand up but Finisher won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Curtis chips away with some ground and pound.
Curtis content to stall in guard here.
Curtis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Finisher on the ground.
Curtis is pushing down on Finisher's leg trying to pass to half guard. Finisher is fighting to maintain full guard but Curtis has managed to sneak the leg through.

Curtis looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Curtis stalling.
Curtis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Finisher is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Curtis scores with a couple of nice shots.
Finisher is trying to get back to full guard.
Curtis content to control rather than advance.

Curtis decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Curtis looking to score a takedown here. Finisher is defending well but Curtis drives through and ends up in Finisher's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Curtis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Curtis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Curtis misses with a head kick.

Curtis shoots in and bounces Finisher off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Curtis controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Curtis wants to pass the guard but Finisher is keeping the position.
Curtis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because King Curtis just wasn't active enough.
Curtis is looking to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King Curtis dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Curtis throws a hook but Finisher blocks it.
Curtis tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Finisher moves into the clinch.
Curtis swings wildly with an uppercut but Finisher uses good head movement to avoid it.

Curtis lands a takedown into guard.
Curtis stays in close to Finisher's body and controls the position.
Finisher has momentary wrist control but Curtis slips an elbow through the middle.

Finisher is working an open guard so Curtis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Finisher gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Curtis counters with a takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Curtis is working Finisher over with some ground and pound from side control.
Finisher seems a little lost for a moment, as Curtis dominates the positioning.
Curtis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Finisher can do to turn this around?

Curtis has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Finisher is breathing heavily.

Curtis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Curtis! This one is all over!
