The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodard misses with a series of wild punches.

Devil wants to clinch

and Woodard counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Devil is defending against the submission attempts here by Woodard.

Woodard is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Devil has managed to free his arm - good work.
Woodard is keen to just control but Devil is a slippery customer.

Devil is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Devil can do anything to dispel that myth.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Woodard in particular looking to stall.
Devil is looking to escape.

Woodard wants to work for an arm triangle but Devil is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Woodard is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
