Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mercito Gesta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mercito Gesta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oliver Burns! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burns closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gesta's guard. Burns won't allow Gesta to sweep him here. Burns trying to control the position from guard on top but Gesta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gesta bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Burns's guard. Burns avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Burns is trying to keep Gesta in close.
Gesta gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Burns lands with a right hand. Gesta swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Donk. Burns catches Gesta right on the button with a cross. Gesta throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Burns's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Burns dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The fight stays on the outside here - Gesta looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Burns fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gesta to the ground. Burns is now in Gesta's guard. Gesta had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Burns defends it easily. Gesta keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns passes Gesta's left leg - he's now in half guard. Gesta manages to get to full guard.
Gesta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Burns doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gesta is tightening it up a little... Burns has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Burns reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Burns taps out! nice BJJ there by Gesta!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mercito Gesta!
