The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Williams uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jackson.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jackson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jackson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

No luck for Williams with that takedown attempt.
Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Williams.
Williams fails to land the takedown.
Williams shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.

Jackson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Williams fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Williams decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jackson's guard.

Williams wants to stand but Jackson is controlling his posture from full guard.

Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Williams is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Williams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Jackson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Williams is controlling him well.
Jackson manages to get back to half guard.
Jackson tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg.

Jackson is looking to sinch up a triangle. Williams throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jackson's body to avoid the submission. Jackson has instead reached around Williams's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jackson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
