Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Corey Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes into the arena with St. Elmo's Fire blaring out of the sound system. Jenkins is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by NYC Crack - Wu Tang Clan. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Corey Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Julius Jenkins! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson with a lazy takedown attempt and Jenkins counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Horrible takedown by Jenkins or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad. Jenkins misses with a wild body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins throws a combination that misses and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jenkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jenkins works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jenkins is pulling down on Johnson's head. It's preventing any offense from Johnson, at least for the moment. Johnson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Johnson throwing strikes from guard but Jenkins blocks nicely. Johnson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jenkins's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jenkins is looking to escape. Johnson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jenkins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Johnson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jenkins wants to improve his position but Johnson is controlling well.
Johnson wants to pass to mount but Jenkins is defending the position. Jenkins keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jenkins's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jenkins wants to improve his position but Johnson is controlling well.
Jenkins keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Johnson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jenkins has one foot on Johnson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Jenkins. Johnson does a little dance to reset his feet. Jenkins looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Johnson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Johnson misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Jenkins to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Corey Johnson has been cut. Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jenkins as he jumps to the side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Julius Jenkins will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Corey Johnson's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jenkins misses with a hook to the body
and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Johnson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Johnson misses with a double jab
and Jenkins counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jenkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jenkins misses with a right hand and Johnson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Johnson misses with a body shot
and Jenkins counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Jenkins misses and Johnson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jenkins thinking. Johnson moves out of range of the body kick. Jenkins misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Johnson counters with a nice kick to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jenkins on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jenkins misses with a hook
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jenkins waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Johnson. Johnson lands with a cross. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julius Jenkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Corey Johnson's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Johnson misses the shot to the body. Jenkins misses with a leg kick and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Johnson gets a double leg takedown into Jenkins's guard. Johnson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jenkins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jenkins has escaped and now he's on top! Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jenkins is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jenkins is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Johnson. Jenkins connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Johnson some visible discomfort.
Johnson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Johnson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Well, if Jenkins is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jenkins scores with a couple of nice shots. Johnson tries to get to full guard but Jenkins has control of the leg. Johnson is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jenkins working over Johnson with some ground and pound. Johnson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Johnson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Johnson is looking to improve his position.
Johnson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jenkins pulls his head out easily. Julius Jenkins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins sitting and controlling from the half guard. Jenkins is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Corey Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Johnson tries to get to full guard but Jenkins has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Well, if Jenkins is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Still in half guard, Jenkins seems content to control.
Julius Jenkins has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. A decent looking cross lands there for Jenkins. Jenkins is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Jenkins throws a right hand that misses
and Johnson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Johnson. Jenkins avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Corey Johnson. I think Jenkins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
