Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aku Zoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Freude schöner Götter Funken. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin fails with the takedown
and Zoku decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Martin's guard.
Martin thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Martin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zoku defends well.
Martin will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Martin tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Zoku is taking a breather. Martin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Zoku lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Zoku decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Martin closes the distance looking to clinch
and Zoku counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Zoku frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Zoku blocks Martin's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Martin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Zoku lands with a hammerfist to the side of Martin's head.

Zoku controlling the position well here. Martin rolled but Zoku kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Martin is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Zoku gets his way!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zoku keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Martin's efforts to push away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Martin wants to clinch but Zoku slips to the side
and Zoku counters with a shoot takedown. Martin fights it but they end up in guard.
Martin throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Zoku lands a couple of digs.
Aku Zoku has got the better of the ground game so far.

Zoku stands up and waves to Martin to follow him.
Peter Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martin gets tackled into the cage by Zoku. Zoku maintains the clinch.
Zoku prevents a body shot from Martin.
Martin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zoku walks away with a smile on his face. Martin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Martin throws a nice looking combination but Zoku bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Zoku closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Martin is looking to get back to full guard here but Zoku has managed to pass to side control instead.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Martin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Zoku asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee asks Zoku politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Zoku prefers to stall for the moment though.

Zoku is staying tight to Martin's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Zoku decides to stand back up. Zoku steps back and let's Martin get back to his feet.

Zoku stands up over Martin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

so Zoku counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Zoku is in close to Martin's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Zoku decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Zoku fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Martin sprawls well initially but Zoku persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Martin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zoku scores with a couple of nice shots.

Martin wants to clinch
and Zoku shoots in, scooping Martin off his feet. Zoku is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Martin to the mat and Martin is in big trouble! Zoku is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Zoku is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Aku Zoku!
