Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rocky Balboa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Hall! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hall waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Balboa. Balboa tries to clinch but Hall is having none of it. Balboa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hall swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hall connects with a good right hand that stumbles Balboa. Balboa circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Rocky Balboa has been cut. The fight stays on the outside here - Balboa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hall keeps the fight on the outside. Balboa takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Balboa falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hall counters with a nice uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Balboa tries to clinch but Hall is having none of it. Balboa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Balboa taking a breather here. Hall is looking to get back to his feet here but Balboa is keeping cool and he's managed to take Hall's back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall trying to get back to his feet but Balboa is in full control for now. Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Balboa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Balboa scores with strikes from the back.
Balboa is riding his opponent, not letting Hall buck him off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Balboa is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Hall taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Balboa.
