Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chico Lockdown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Will Grello!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lockdown tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Grello counters with a one-two to the body.
Grello misses with an uppercut.
Grello cracks Lockdown with a good jab.
Lockdown tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Grello swivels and escapes.
Lockdown ducks right into an uppercut from Grello.
Grello lands a nice looking body shot.
Lockdown shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Grello counters with a left and a right that stings Lockdown.
Grello uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Grello. Lockdown does a little dance to reset his feet.
Grello punishes Lockdown's body with a nice straight punch.
Grello feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lockdowns jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Lockdown shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Grello pinned against the cage. Grello gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lockdown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grello moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lockdown tries to close the distance and clinch but Grello swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lockdown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grello's waist but Grello gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lockdown off to one side.
Grello lands a nice hook to Lockdown's body. Lockdown takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Grello is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Grello counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Grello feints and then cracks Lockdown's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lockdown down.
Grello scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Grello bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Grello throws a nice outside leg kick.
Lockdown has his takedown stuffed
and Grello counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Will Grello is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lockdown decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Grello holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Lockdown is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Grello has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grello controlling the position well.
Lockdown is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Grello doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lockdown.

Grello pushes Lockdown off looking to stand but Lockdown dives back in and keeps control.

Lockdown is working for a submission of some sort.
Grello is pressing down on Lockdown's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grello can do anything to dispel that myth.
Grello wants to sweep but no luck.

Grello slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Grello stands and steps away. Lockdown gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Lockdown counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Grello!
Grello tries to hold on but Lockdown pushes him away.
Lockdown is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Grello has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Grello!
Grello must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lockdown is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Lockdown can't get the takedown.
Lockdown is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Grello pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Chico Lockdown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lockdown jumps guard but Grello stands there with Lockdown around his waist. Lockdown gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lockdown is trying to drag Grello to the mat but Grello just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lockdown looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Lockdown drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Grello gets the underhooks and prevents it.
