Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Lavronenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Schnitzer Schnitz!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lavronenko scores with a one two! Schnitz had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Schnitzer Schnitz has been cut.
Lavronenko misses with a double jab

and Schnitz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lavronenko won't be happy with that.
You can see the frustration on Lavronenko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Schnitz wants to control but Lavronenko is keeping him busy.
Schnitz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lavronenko kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Schnitz taking a break here but Lavronenko is having none of it and regains half guard.
Lavronenko is refusing to be controlled, as Schnitz sits in half guard.

Schnitz stalling away here and it's allowed Lavronenko to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Schnitz tries to free his leg and advance position but Lavronenko is retaining full guard.
Lavronenko manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lavronenko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ivan Lavronenko wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Schnitz doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lavronenko counters with a right hand to the body.
Schnitz fails with the takedown
and Schnitz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Lavronenko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Schnitz looks gassed!
Lavronenko thuds his shin into the meat of Schnitz's side.
Ivan Lavronenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lavronenko throws a series of strikes that have Schnitz backpedaling.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Some wild striking there from Lavronenko.
Lavronenko throws a low kick but Schnitz avoids it.
Schnitz takes one on the button.
Lavronenko throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lavronenko comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lavronenko tests Schnitz's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lavronenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Schnitz circles away quickly and effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schnitz is breathing heavily.
Schnitz slips nicely into half guard.

Lavronenko gets full guard.
Schnitz preventing the sweep.
Lavronenko keeping moving, preventing Schnitz from controlling successfully.
Schnitz wants to pass the guard but Lavronenko is keeping the position.

Lavronenko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lavronenko wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Schnitz controlling from the top position.
Lavronenko manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ivan Lavronenko wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Sloppy strikes from Lavronenko. Those never looked like landing.
Lavronenko throws a chopping leg kick but Schnitz manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Lavronenko sizes up Schnitz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Lavronenko lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Lavronenko connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Schnitz! He's out on his feet! Lavronenko rushes in and drops Schnitz with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ivan Lavronenko!
