Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Woodley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dominick Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Woodley! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woodley with a lazy takedown attempt and Cruz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Woodley won't be happy with that. Woodley can't do much from the bottom here. Cruz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Woodley manages to get back to half guard. Cruz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Cruz is stalling here. Woodley is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Cruz seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Woodley has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woodley tries to stand but Cruz is controlling his head. Cruz is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Cruz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cruz tries to buck Woodley off but Woodley is having none of it. Woodley tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Cruz can't do much from the bottom here. Woodley wants to control but Cruz is keeping him busy. Woodley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cruz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. You can see the frustration on Cruz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cruz on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Woodley trying to control the action but Cruz is working from the bottom. Cruz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Woodley asserts his dominance and retains side control. Cruz is trying to improve his position.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Woodley wants to stand but Cruz is controlling his arm. Cruz is looking to reverse the position. Woodley throws an elbow but Cruz slips to the side and avoids it well. Woodley trying to control the action but Cruz is working from the bottom. Woodley has hold of Cruz's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cruz seems comfortable defending it but Woodley has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cruz is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cruz is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Woodley couldn't care less - he's delighted!
