Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Woodley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodley with a lazy takedown attempt
and Cruz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Woodley won't be happy with that.
Woodley can't do much from the bottom here.
Cruz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Woodley manages to get back to half guard.
Cruz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cruz is stalling here. Woodley is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Cruz seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Woodley has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Woodley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cruz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Cruz is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cruz is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Woodley couldn't care less - he's delighted!
