The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith is looking to land body kicks.
Quintana ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Quintana checks a leg kick.
Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Quintana decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smith's guard.
Smith wants to stand but Quintana is controlling the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quintana is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Smith is just riding it out for now. Quintana eventually gives up the hold.

Quintana is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Smith can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Quintana is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Smith is aware though and is defending well.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kimbo Smith.
