The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ziribastow closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Ziribastow looks to land a strike but Milat avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Ziribastow trying to control but Milat is working from the bottom. Ziribastow keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Milat's head. Ziribastow has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ziribastow with a poor takedown and Milat counters with a stiff right hand. Ziribastow tries for a takedown but Milat circles away easily and Milat counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ziribastow shoots and misses and Milat counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Ziribastow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Milat waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ziribastow. Milat defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ziribastow. Ziribastow doesn't succeed with the takedown and Milat counters with a series of strikes. Ziribastow will be more careful next time no doubt. Ziribastow scores a takedown into full mount! Ziribastow throws some wild stikes that Milat manages to avoid easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ziribastow misses with a head shot. Milat is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Ziribastow lands a nice shot to the head. Ziribastow in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ziribastow looking to finish Milat with some ground and pound. This is bad for Milat! Ziribastow unloads with some shots from mount but Milat bucks and avoids them well.
Ziribastow is in the full mount, landing strikes. Ziribastow looking to ground and pound but Milat is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ziribastow lands a big elbow. Milat is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Milat tries to reverse the position but Ziribastow maintains control. Shawn Ziribastow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Milat tries to buck Ziribastow off but he can't manage it. Ziribastow pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ziribastow cracks Milat with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Milat is rocked! Ziribastow postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Milat in real trouble here! The ref calls for Milat to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shawn Ziribastow!
