Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Wallakowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rick Welsh! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallakowski closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wallakowski gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Rick Welsh has been cut. Wallakowski tightens his grip and picks Welsh up, before dumping him to the ground. Welsh manages to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Welsh is working an open guard so Wallakowski takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. A clash of legs there as Welsh blocks the low kick. Wallakowski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wallakowski showed some decent athleticism there. Welsh wants to improve his position but Wallakowski is controlling well.
It looks like Wallakowski is going to stand back up.

Wallakowski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Welsh on the ground. Welsh is pressing down on Wallakowski's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Wallakowski stands up from Welsh's guard - Wallakowski perhaps looking for a knockout. Welsh swings away with a body shot that misses
and Wallakowski counters with a shoot takedown. Welsh fights it but they end up in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Welsh looking for a triangle here. Wallakowski is fighting it but it looks tight! Welsh pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Wallakowski is tapping out - this one is all over!
