The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khalidov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tirado, pushing him back against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jhe Christ Tirado.
Khalidov shoots in looking for a takedown. Tirado tries to sprawl out of it but Khalidov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tirado manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Khalidov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Tirado's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Khalidov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tirado's waist but Tirado gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Khalidov off to one side.
