Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzaga circles away from the clinch attempt
and Gonzaga counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Big Thunder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thunder throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Gonzaga counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thunder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gonzaga. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thunder keeping moving, preventing Gonzaga from controlling successfully.
Gonzaga thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Gonzaga slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Gonzaga advances to half guard.
Gonzaga is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thunder is just riding it out for now. Gonzaga eventually gives up the hold.
Well, if Gonzaga is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gonzaga wants to work for an arm triangle but Thunder is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Gonzaga maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Thunder could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gonzaga has cracked it and Thunder is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gonzaga!
