The crowd seem to be enjoying Boyd's choice of entrance music: Family Tradition . Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim misses with a lunging right hand
and Boyd counters with a nice uppercut.
Kim gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Boyd counters with a takedown into side control.
Kim taking punishment in the form of punches.
Boyd in side control lands a decent elbow.
Boyd scoring with punches and elbows.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boyd cracks Kim with a big elbow.
Boyd is working Kim over with some ground and pound from side control.
Boyd connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kim some visible discomfort.

Kim is trying to work for a sweep but Boyd has mounted him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boyd is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kim to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kim shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyd drops a big elbow. That's hurt Kim! More shots from Boyd and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
