The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Hand catches Carlington right on the button with a cross.

and Carlington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Carlington tries for a takedown but Hand circles away easily
and Hand counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Carlington thinking.
Hand scores with a decent looking hook.
Hand blocks a head kick by Carlington.

Carlington throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carlington gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Carlington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Carlington wants to clinch but Hand slips to the side

Carlington takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Hand goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Hand is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Carlington had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Hand ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Carlington takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Carlington has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Carlington there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hand lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Dan Hand is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carlington is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Hand moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
