Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Willcox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Lumsdon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willcox comes to the cage accompanied by FRENCH!. Lumsdon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: ACDC - Back In Black. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Willcox moves into the clinch.

Willcox is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lumsdon is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Willcox to the mat. Willcox regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Lumsdon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Willcox trying to keep a closed guard but Lumsdon is proving a slippery customer.
Lumsdon throws a big right hand that misses.

Lumsdon stands up from Willcox's guard - Lumsdon perhaps looking for a knockout.
Travis Willcox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left and a right from Lumsdon both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Travis Willcox has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Willcox tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Lumsdon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Willcox shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lumsdon defends it nicely.
Lumsdon falls off balance throwing a combination

and Willcox counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Lumsdon is trying to maintain the position but Willcox is very close to passing his half guard.
Willcox tries to pass to full mount but Lumsdon defends it.
Lumsdon wants to control but Willcox is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Stephen Lumsdon.

Willcox drives through and clinches with Lumsdon against the cage.
Willcox digs a right hand into Lumsdon's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lumsdon's gas tank.

Willcox jumps guard and drags Lumsdon to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lumsdon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lumsdon wants to control from the top but Willcox keeps moving.

Lumsdon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stephen Lumsdon was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Willcox shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lumsdon sprawls well. Lumsdon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Willcox gets slowly back to his feet.

Lumsdon takes the fight into the clinch.

Willcox has picked Lumsdon up - he's going for a ride! Willcox dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Lumsdon keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Willcox looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lumsdon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lumsdon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lumsdon.
Willcox keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lumsdon's head.

Willcox postures up in Lumsdon's guard and throws a big left but Lumsdon blocks it.
Willcox knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lumsdon on the ground.
Lumsdon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Willcox throws and elbow that misses. Lumsdon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Willcox's guard. Nice move by Lumsdon!
Lumsdon wants to control from the top but Willcox keeps moving.

Willcox had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lumsdon defends it easily.
Willcox is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lumsdon is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lumsdon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephen Lumsdon dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Travis Willcox's cut.
That's time! Willcox's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Willcox gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Lumsdon rushes Willcox and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Lumsdon lands a shoulder strike.

Willcox has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lumsdon regains guard immediately.
Willcox stops Lumsdon from standing up.

Lumsdon is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Lumsdon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Willcox avoids it.

Lumsdon pulls guard effortlessly.
Willcox trying to control the position from guard on top but Lumsdon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Willcox will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lumsdon wants to stand but Willcox is controlling the position.

Lumsdon has momentary wrist control but Willcox slips an elbow through the middle.

Lumsdon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Willcox is aware though and is defending well.
Lumsdon is breathing heavily.
Willcoxis looking to pass into half guard but Lumsdon pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lumsdon is in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Willcox wants to stand up but Lumsdon is controlling him.
Willcox looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lumsdon puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Lumsdon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Willcox doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lumsdon.

Lumsdon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Willcox keeps working.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Willcox is looking to improve his position.
Willcox pushes Lumsdon off looking to stand but Lumsdon dives back in and keeps control.
Willcox on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Willcox tries to get out of the position.
Willcox is looking to get back to full guard here but Lumsdon has managed to pass to side control instead.

Lumsdon tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Willcox.
Willcox scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Willcox closes the distance looking to clinch

Lumsdon tries to circle away but Willcox has him pinned against the cage.
Willcox is working for takedown but Lumsdon is calmly controlling the position for now.

Lumsdon works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Lumsdon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Willcox tries to hold on but Lumsdon pushes him away.
The referee warns Willcox that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Travis Willcox has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lumsdon wants to finish this one by submission but Willcox is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lumsdon.
Lumsdon wants to control the pace but Willcox is squirming around nicely.

Lumsdon stands up from mount. Strange move.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Willcox keeps the fight on the outside.

Willcox pushes Lumsdon up against the cage in a clinch.
Willcox drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lumsdon gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lumsdon lands a hook that snaps the head of Willcox backwards.

Willcox tightens his grip and picks Lumsdon up, before dumping him to the ground. Lumsdon manages to land in guard.

Willcox got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lumsdon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Willcox has managed to get both his arms back between Lumsdon's legs - danger averted.

Willcox is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lumsdon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lumsdon has escaped and now he's on top!

Lumsdon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Stephen Lumsdon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
