Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doug Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Tanner! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Davis misses. Davis throws a head kick that misses. Tanner throws a lazy uppercut
and Davis counters with an outside leg kick.
Tanner misses with a body punch
and Davis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A low kick from Tanner misses and Davis counters with a good, hard body kick but Tanner shrugs it off. Davis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tanner paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanner throws a combination that misses and Davis counters with a nice body shot. A solid body kick from Davis. Danny Tanner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A lazy left from Tanner finds it's target. Tanner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tanner crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Davis - the referee stops the clock and Tanner gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Davis. Tanner manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Tanner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Davis's half guard. Tanner prevents Davis from improving his position. Davis wants to control but Tanner is keeping busy.
Davis moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tanner! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davis stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Davis walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Tanner checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Tanner ducks under a wild hook from Davis.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice body kick there by Davis. Davis throws a half hearted mid kick. Tanner looking to score a takedown here. Davis is defending well but Tanner drives through and ends up in Davis's guard. Davis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tanner. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doug Davis dominated that round. That's time! Davis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A low kick from Tanner is predictable there and Davis counters with a nice uppercut. Davis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Davis. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davis throws a nice outside leg kick. Davis throws a low kick, looking for Tanner's leg but Tanner calmly moves out of range. Doug Davis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis misses with a low kick. Tanner thows a leg kick but Davis checks it and Davis counters with an outside leg kick.
Good standup being displayed there by Tanner as he connects with a hook. Tanner misses with a kick to the body and Davis counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Davis looks to land a combination but Tanner avoids it well. An inside leg kick from Davis misses. Davis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Davis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanner chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Davis can pounce on him.
Tanner dives in and grabs Davis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Davis pushes down on Tanner's head and hops out. Tanner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davis pinned against the cage. Davis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Davis takes a jab right on the kisser.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tanner throws a poor cross that misses
and Davis makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Tanner misses with a shot to the body and Davis counters with a low kick, right behind Tanner 's knee. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tanner shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Davis counters with a low kick, right behind Tanner 's knee. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doug Davis dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

and Davis counters with a nice body shot. Davis walks into a straight right hand from Tanner. Tanner misses with a right hand and Davis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Davis doesn't manage to clinch there - Tanner circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis throws a chopping leg kick but Tanner manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Tanner throws a leg kick and Davis counters with a low kick, right behind Tanner 's knee. Davis throws a front kick aimed at Tanner's knee but Tanner avoids it well. Tanner throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Davis counters with a slapping leg kick. Doug Davis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis throws a looping overhand right but Tanner ducks down to avoid it. A low kick from Tanner misses and Davis counters with an outside leg kick.
Tanner throws a leg kick that is checked and Davis counters with a nice low kick that buckles Tanner's knee momentarily. Davis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tanner on the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tanner is defended easily by Davis. Tanner stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Davis. Danny Tanner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Tanner misses with a right hand and Davis finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Tanner throws a body punch but Davis moves out of range.
