Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Terrell Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fransico Junior!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed misses with a looping left.
Junior misses with a looping right.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reed. Junior does a little dance to reset his feet.
Reed defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Junior.
Junior lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Junior moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Junior throws the left hand but Reed avoids the punch easily.
A bone on bone clash there as Junior blocks the leg kick.

Reed drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reed jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Reed stays in close to Junior's body and controls the position.
Junior controls Reed momentarily but Reed frees himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Junior is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reed pulls his head out easily.
Reed has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Reed wants to pass the guard but Junior is defending well.
Reed is taking a breather. Junior says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Reed shoots in and bounces Junior off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Reed throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Junior can't keep his opponent in guard - Reed advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Reed trying to mount his opponent but Junior defends it.
Reed thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Junior's head.
Reed seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Junior wants to control but Reed is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Reed throwing shots but Junior is blocking nicely.
Reed not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Junior is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reed pulls his head out easily.
Reed throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Reed is just content to waste time from the top position. Junior takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Reed throwing strikes but missing.
Junior wants to sweep here but Reed controlling him for the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Reed with a flurry of punches that miss.
Reed trying to control but Junior is working from the bottom.
Reed loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Junior manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Reed reaches up and holds on to Junior to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Junior lands a big shot there that rocks Reed but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Junior can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reed is looking to escape.
Reed wants to hold on but Junior pushes him away.
Reed is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Junior is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Reed can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Junior tries to control but Reed wriggling away.
Junior wants to control but instead Reed manages to regain half guard.
Junior not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reed tries to get to full guard but Junior has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Fransico Junior will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Reed uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Junior has time to react.
The crowd cheers as Junior lands an impressive looking overhand right. Reed doesn't seem phased though.
Junior is looking to score with low kicks.
Reed attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Junior connects with a body shot.
Junior throws a looping overhand right but Reed ducks down to avoid it.
Reed lands with a right hand.
Junior doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Junior fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Reed.
Reed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Junior paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Reed falls off balance throwing a combination
and Junior counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Reed wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Junior slips under a jab from Reed.
Junior fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Junior takes a swing at Reed's ribcage but misses.

Junior closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Reed quickly recovers to half guard.
Reed tries to roll over but Junior keeps him under control.

Reed actively working from the bottom here.
Reed is staying active underneath Junior, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Reed is pressing down on Junior's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Junior wants to control from the top but Reed keeps moving.

Junior controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Junior stands up over Reed, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Reed is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Junior looking to sit in guard and control but Reed gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Reed postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Junior avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Reed scoring with punches to the head and body.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reed accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Junior is trying to keep Reed in close.
Reed showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Reed postures up and lands a big shot to Junior's brow.
Reed is working Junior over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Reed postures up in Junior's guard and throws a big left but Junior blocks it.
Junior controls Reed momentarily but Reed frees himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
Terrell Reed showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Reed has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
